Meet Our Artists in Residence

HCL is starting the year off with a new, exciting partnership. PAVEMENT GROUP will join us as our most recent Artist-in-Residence! This exciting company has certainly made their mark in the Chicago theatre world over the past few years. Their commitment to bringing new work to area audiences is perfectly aligned with HCL’s mission. They bring undeniable energy, creativity and dedication to every work they create and we are happy to have them on-board as part of our creative community.

Continuing their residency, OPERA CABAL is gearing up for their February tour of usw, written by Lewis Nielson and directed by Habib Azar. After significant workshopping and developing, this exciting, multimedia opera is ready for performance at both Oberlin college in Oberlin Ohio and (lucky for us) at Curtis Hall right here in Chicago.  We will continue to keep you informed about your chance to see this incredible organization in action.

Finally, artist JOE MILLER will continue his residency with us. Look for photos of some of his recent works right here on the HCL blog!
